Surf Shop Advisory

Dear Valued Subscriber,

In our effort to improve our E-mail service, we have participated in the Google Apps program, for Google to provide Surf Shop's E-mail service. Below are some of the benefits of using Google Apps as Surf Shop's mail server:

  1. Increased E-mail Storage to 2GB
  2. Superior Spam Protection
  3. Powerful Virus Protection
  4. Improved Web-based e-mail interface

Dont worry, your e-mail address would not be changed (it will still be youremail@surfshop.net.ph) and you can still get your e-mail to your Outlook Express (see settings below).

To access and activate your Surf Shop acct via Google Apps, pls do the following:

  1. Go to http://mail.google.com/a/surfshop.net.ph
  2. Enter your userid id and temporary password (if your userid uses an underscore, pls replace it with a dash):
    • userid: youremail
    • temporary password: xxxxxxxxxx
  3. Set your own password, then click "I accept. Create my account"
  4. Once you are in your Inbox, Click Settings (located in the upper right hand)
  5. Click Accounts
    • Click edit info
    • Select the Name box, and enter your name
    • Click Save Changes
  6. Click Forwarding and POP
    • Set POP Status: Select "Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on"
    • When messages are accessed with POP: Select "Keep copy in Inbox"
    • Click Save Changes

After doing the steps above, you can now start to receive your Surf Shop e-mail in Outlook Express. Pls configure Outlook Express as follows:
